| Celebrate Summer in Shenandoah National Park with a variety of cultural and historic events |

Shenandoah National Park, VA – (May 24, 2007) – ARAMARK, the concessioner in Shenandoah National Park, announced it is hosting a series of events to coincide with the summer season, including a summer music festival and antique car show, on-going mystery dinner plays and stargazing. “Our summer events further establish Shenandoah as a culture-rich destination where visitors can learn about the cultural history and environment as they enjoy the area,” said Tim Smith, District Manager for ARAMARK Shenandoah National Park Lodging. “We hope to instill a greater appreciation for Shenandoah National Park while offering visitors a chance for fun within the park this summer.” SummerFest, a new event this year, is a summer festival featuring lively entertainment from the days of the 1920s through the 1950s. Classic cars during this time period will also be on display. Held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 7, 2007, the event is free and open to the public. Roaring 20s Mystery Dinner Theater Series is a tribute to Skyland Resort’s original owner in the 1920s, George Freeman Pollock. Guests are invited to participate in a lively “who-dunnit,” along with a meal featuring Shenandoah specialties. Shows will be held from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Conference Hall at Skyland Resort on July 1, 5, 15, 19, 22, and 29. Cost is $40 per person, including dinner. Children may attend for $25 per child. To make reservations, call 1-800-778-2872. Night Skies presents a provocative overview of America’s vanishing night skies and tips on controlling light pollution. Join amateur astronomers to stargaze in a natural refuge away from city lights and subsequent light pollution at the Big Meadows area (mile 51.3) on June 15, July 13, August 3 and September 7. Evening Hikes from Big Meadows Lodge will be offered June 16, June 20, July 14 and August 18 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. These evening hikes feature the natural world as it settles into evening, hiking out into the “big meadows” at dusk through the dramatic changing colors of the mountain sky and, eventually, the incredible spread of the summer night sky with its multitude of stars. $10.00 per adult and $8.00 per child 12 & under.
